Feuquieres was a lieutenant-general of the French army, and the book, translated from the French was written for the instruction of his son being an account of all the wars in Europe from 1672 to 1710, 35 battles in total. Rebound black cloth hard covers with gilt titles and gilt catalogue number on each spine, and no cover wear. Inside each front cover is a small discrete hand written library number, but no other lending library stamps. Translated from the French: volume I has xxxv, 408 pages with an alphabetical index at rear, and volume II has 368 pages with an extensive military index at the rear. Originally published in 1737 both books bound in contemporary black cloth are in near fine condition. Seller Inventory # 003367
