A very good copy of the first issue published in 1935 in a good second issue wrapper. The book has a red cloth binding with black titles to front board and spine. The spine is very slightly cocked to the front with light pulling to ends. There is a small indent at the side edge of the front board and the top corners are turned. There is a slightly darker area at the bottom spine end where is joins the front board. Top page edges reddened. Contents are very clean with a very small repaired edge tear at the top of p 9. One page of reviews and 7 pages of publisher's adverts at the rear. The wrap has 2/6 on the spine with an oval browned area below it suggesting that perhaps another price sticker was removed. The front flap has 33 titles. There is edge nibbling with some loss at the fold edges and some small tears. Archive tape has been used to stabilise the edges. There is some rubbing to folds and slight darkening at the side edges of the panels towards the flaps. The wrap is pretty spotty on the verso. Seller Inventory # 033036
