Mass market paperback. Condition: Good. 12mo, 217 pages. Firm binding; no loose pages. Second Ballantine printing. Sunned spine. Tanned pages; some underlining and marks. A good reading copy in this uncommon edition. This was Kerouac's fifth published novel. He wrote 'Doctor Sax' in 1952, but it was not published until 1959, a year after 'The Dharma Bums' was published. 'Doctor Sax' is written in an improvisatory style that Kerouac called 'spontaneous prose.'".
