Sesta edizione di questo manuale astrologico dell'Heindel, in cui l'astrologia è concepita in funzione delle sue particolari dottrine teosofiche. Max Heindel, al secolo Carl Louis Von Grasshoff, fondatore della Rosicrucian Fellowship, nacque nel 1865 in Danimarca da nobile casata tedesca che ebbe anche strette relazioni con la famiglia imperiale. Dopo aver studiato ingegneria a Glasgow, viaggiò a lungo come capo ingegnere navale per conto della Cunard Line, la celebre compagnia che organizzava le sontuose traversate transoceaniche tra Europa ed America. Trasferitosi a New York nel 1895, e poi, nel 1903, a Los Angeles, nella Città degli Angeli prese ad interessarsi all'occultismo, affiliandosi alla confraternita locale della Theosophical Society e divenendone vice-presidente. Assillato dal desiderio di comprendere l'origine delle sofferenze umane e di alleviarle, credette di trovare nell'astrologia il tramite per praticare tali terapie e per dischiudere il segreto della vera natura dell'essere umano. Sino alla sua scomparsa, avvenuta nel 1919, Heindel si prodigò incessantemente per la diffusione del credo della Rosicrucian Fellowship e per allargare la cerchia dei confratelli ed estenderne le sedi californiane e statunitensi in genere. Le sue dottrine furono ispirate ad una sorta di Cristianesimo Esoterico inteso a preparare l'umanità per la Nuova Era dell'Acquario, in cui tutti, a suo dire, saranno uniti nella Fratellanza Universale.
