Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The analysis was carried out on diesel engine cylinder liner. The temperature distribution, stress distribution and displacement in cylinder liner, were investigated using ANSYS12 APDL. The emphasis of this study was to predict the, stress distributions of cylinder liner. The cylinder liner model was generated in ANSYS12 APDL package. Various mesh configurations were obtained in the meshing section of the package. The temperature distribution, stress distribution and displacement, were predicted along the cylinder liner. The results obtained for stress distribution show that the maximum stress occurs at the flange of the cylinder liner. Since increase in temperature of cylinder liner increases the stresses. Therefore, pitting takes place at the flange of the cylinder liner. The pitting results due the formation of excessive stresses. The pitting initiates the fracture followed by fatigue crack initiation, crack growth and final fracture. 100 pp. Englisch.
