Artiste urbain à la fois marquant et innovant, OX s'est d'abord forgé une réputation au sein du collectif des Frères Ripoulin.Dans les années 1980, ce groupe de " médias-peintres ", animé par 7 artistes passionnés et délurés, fait beaucoup parler de lui, notamment parce qu'il crée souvent en live et dans la rue. Lorsque le groupe se dissout quelques années plus tard, OX profite de cette soudaine solitude pour voyager et développer sa technique en atelier. Entre New-York et Paris, le jeune artiste découvre de nouvelles techniques qui vont lui permettre de s'affirmer esthétiquement. C'est en 1993 qu'OX présente sa première création urbaine : un collage sur un mur recouvert d'affiches 3615. OX devient alors un artiste connu non seulement pour ses collages à la fois imposants et minimalistes, mais également pour ses choix, ultra réfléchis et stratégiques, de lieux d'exposition.
