This book announces its purpose at once. Its stories have the direct aim of teaching ethics and religious truths to children. The compilers of this book began their work purely from the religious point of view. Parents as well as teachers in both religious and secular schools feel the great difficulty in putting abstract principles into langauge that a child can comprehend. It is not the intention of the compilers to make this a sectarian book. There are of course stories which show the reason behind some Friendly customs, but as a whole it is hoped that there is a fair representation of the simple virtues which lie behind human progress and Christian living. Illustrated. 247 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
