Geradezu euphorisch schrieb Karl May am 10.09.1900 an seinen Verleger Friedrich Ernst Fehsen feld: 'Ich trete erst jetzt an meine eigentliche Aufgabe, und zwar mit diesem Gedichtsbande, welcher das Thor zu meinem Tempel bildet', und er war davon überzeugt, 'daß wir Epoche machen werden.'Dieser Reprint der Ausgabe von 1900 ist hiermit nun auch in einer Hardcover-Variante greifbar.
