Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Included. 1st Edition. A hardbound volume in blue cloth, measuring about 6-1/4 x 9-1/4" in 277 pages, plus four-page addenda leaflet. Includes an 8-page copy of a newspaper, "The Colorado Prospector," Vol. 5, No. 8, August 1974, laid in, plus a clipped page from a 1987 paper. Editorial content is almost entirely biographical sketches of local residents. Likely most famous was the future founder of the national retail chain, J. C. (James Cash) Penney (1875-1971) who spent some two years in Longmont. Book condition is generally excellent, though the clear plastic jacket is torn, and the front end papers are browned from contact with newsprint.
