Text is a little toned but generally clean. Illustrated throughout with drawing and with some photos. Includes "De Voodoo Man" on pages 25-27 with Uncle Remus. Page 26 has a drawing of an old African-American man telling a scary story to scared children. This book does not contain any scored music, so effectively it is a book of poetry.
