Leroy Eldridge Cleaver, né le 31 août 1935 à Wabbaseka (Arkansas) et mort le 1er mai 1998 à Pomona (Californie), est un militant des droits civiques américain, membre important du Black Panther Party. En 1968, il signe une autobiographie remarquée, Soul on Ice. Après un exil à Alger, puis Paris, il retourne aux États-Unis et devient conservateur et anticommuniste. Lee Jonathan Lockwood (4 mai 1932 - 31 juillet 2010) était un photojournaliste américain surtout connu pour sa couverture des dirigeants communistes derrière le rideau de fer à l'époque de la guerre froide . Il a interviewé le dirigeant cubain Fidel Castro et a passé près d'un mois au Nord-Vietnam pendant la guerre du Vietnam.
