First edition in English of this work recounting the harrowing third and last Greenland Expedition, to bring home the furs from the East Greenland Company fur depot at Denmark Harbor, and make observations on the East coast for possible colonization by West Greenlanders. The expedition found themselves trapped on an ice floe drifting for hundreds of miles down the Arctic Ocean. Very scarce in original dustjacket.
