The book is bound in clean light brown buckram with title and author on an illustrated plate inlaid on the front cover. Name of the previous owner has been stamped in gilt on the front cover. There is a shallow creasing on the upper spine, and the binding is tight. Gift inscription to the previous owner on the ffe and dated October !, 1975. Otherwise, pages are immaculate, smooth and unmarked. Appears unread. Near the beginning of the book there are the two maps that grace the endpapers in the original First Edition: the Georges River and Sterlingtown( Now Union), Maine.
