Tome quatrième Souvenirs Historiques des Residences Royales de France. Undated circa 1840/1842. Hard cover with rather darkened cream vellum spine and worn corners with marbled boards showing some edge wear. The author's name is in gilt on spine, and title of book in dull gilt within maroon frame also on spine. 639 relatively clean pages in French text. There is a book plate inside front cover - The gift of M Oppenheim (1853-1927, bibliophile and pioneer historian of English naval administration) in 1919 to Bath Public Reference Library, but otherwise none of the usual lending library labels, although there is a small faded white catalogue marking on lower spine. Overall the book remains in good possibly very good condition. Seller Inventory # 003040
