[195 x 128 x 35 mm]. xix, [i], 467 pp. Contemporary binding of calf, the covers with a border of a gilt foliate roll and a blind pin roll, and the gilt block of Edinburgh Institution at the centre of the front. The spine divided into six panels with gilt compartments, lettered in the second on a brown goatskin label, the others tooled with a flower and sprigs, the edges of the boards hatched in gilt, marbled endleaves and edges. (Joints a little rubbed and a few minor scratches and marks). A good copy. With the prize label of Edinburgh Institution, awarding the book to John Young for English, 1907, signed by two Masters, William Happer and Walter Hardie. Edinburgh Instituion prize binding.
