Wrappers. Edition limited to 27 copies, 12 only for sale. "O what has wrought again the miracle of Spring?" First American edition of the second Ariel Poem, printed for copyright purposes. Faber & Gwyer's series of pamphlet poems (38 were published between 1927 and 1931) married poet and artist - Ariel Poem no. 1 was Thomas Hardy's Yuletide in a Younger World with drawings by Albert Rutherston; Ariel Poem no. 3, Laurence Binyon's The Wonder Night with drawings by Barnett Freedman. The Linnet's Nest used drawings by Ralph Keene (though it was first proofed with the wood-engravings of Blair Hughes-Stanton used for Ariel Poem no. 4, Walter de la Mare's Alone).
