Measures about 8-1/2" wide x 10-1/4" high x 1/4" thick, in 133 pages. Illustrated in black and white, with many photographs, drawings, musical scores, calligraphy, paintings, and more. First 94 pages predominantly in English, with the balance of the text mostly in Chinese through page 125, then a map of China, followed by "Suggestions," "Selected Readings," and "Acknowledgements." Condition is very good, with no observed markings, but with some creasing and a very small closed tear to the leaf immediately inside the back cover.
