Second US paperback edition. Previously published in digest form by Bestseller Mystery Digest in 1943. Originally published by Random House in the US in 1941 The spine has some edge chipping and peeling to the laminate. The laminate is also lifting a little on the right edge of the front cover and the left edge of the rear cover. The covers are a little browned. A previous owner has written 'BURNS' on the top edges of the pages. The pages are quite heavily browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. Cover art by Caldone. First printing of the Bantam edition. I will generally use whatever method is covered by the standard postage charge but if you specifically wish to have it sent surface or airmail or anything else please ask and I will amend the charge accordingly. Please only choose the cheaper surface mail option if you do not mind waiting - the suggested upper time limit for this form of delivery is 60 days and it can take that long - and sometimes a bit longer. If therefore you wish to receive the book in 2-3 weeks then please opt for the more expensive postage option which will guarantee airmail delivery.
