You are holding a special printing of Volume III, which was printed so that it could be read on its own, without reading Volume I and Volume II. So that you can better understand the themes of Foundations, as well as the philosophical and scientific foundations of Volume III, I have included the Preface and Introduction to ll three volumes, which is usually only found in Volume I. Among the themes for Volume III are: Thoughts eventually become actions; Making decisions and taking action is essential for mental health, Arrogance can be a serious mental disorder; and Most conflicts can be resolved. Foundations is meant to give social workers, therapists, and counselors enough of an understanding of these ideas to be useful in helping their clients achieve a better quality of life.
