This is one of the best books I have read on over all fitness and increasing your energy level. Easy to read, good information, makes a lot of sense. We some how think we can abuse our bodies, eat junk food, don't exercise, and still think we should feel energized all the time. This book explains how you can feel good and live a healthy, energized life-Suzanne - I'm on the run so the one thing I have to have is Energy. Even though I'm in the fitness world, I still like my ice cream from time to time. Jonny's book made me look at things in a different light and pay attention to why I was getting tired and not able to function all day. Love this book and it's a great one to keep with me to keep me focused!--Stu Henderson--Excellent book, since I've started reading it I haven't been able to stop. It's a reference guide, you don't have to read the chapters in order, the information is presented in an informal language yet very accurated. I enjoyed several of Bowden's other books because they are well written, in language you and I can understand, he makes clear why certain foods, supplements, etc will or will not work for you. This certainly applies to this book. Above all his books are fun to read because he has a nice sense of humour. The book is printed on durable paper, has some nice illustrations and an excellent lay-out. The strategies included in the book include foods and supplements you can take, this information takes up about half of the book. There are shorter sections about exercise, improving your sleep, organizing your living space and how to detoxify your body. Most of the information has a basis in science, with some small excursions into subjects like acupuncture and Feng Shui.
