Excerpt: ... THE DEAD BRIDE. BY N. C. BROOKS. The moon's bright beams, like liquid silver pour From her full orb, the opened casement through, And shed their lustrous brilliancy upon The face of sleeping beauty. Zephyrs mild, With lightsome wing, are fanning her soft cheeks, And gently stir upon her snowy brow The glossy ringlets of her raven hair. The bride of Asman sleeps.
