This work provides coverage of each of the principle organs of the United Nations. Covering the Security Council, the General Assembly, the Secretariat, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council and the International Court of Justice. The book provides a survey of the life of each organ since its inception in 1945 and looks at the extent to which it has fulfilled its founding mission. The authors go on to analyze the interaction of each organ with the others in the UN system and to look at proposals for reform.
