About the Author:
John Grant is the executive producer of the PBS "Legendary Lighthouses" series. His company, Driftwood Productions, specializes in documentaries for public and cable television. Other successful series and specials he has created include "America's Scenic Rail Journeys, The Homes of FDR, " and "Dinner on the Train." Prior to starting Driftwood Productions, Grant was the senior vice president of programming for PBS, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the National Program Service. Grant also spent sixteen years at WPSX-TV, including the last four as general manager. He lives in Burke, Virginia.Ray Jones is the text author of all of the books in Globe Pequot's regional Lighthouses series and the coauthor of Lost Lighthouses, Endangered Lighthouses, and the first volume in the Legendary Lighthouses two-volume set. He has also served as an editor at Time-Life books, as founding editor of Albuquerque Living magazine, as senior editor and writing coach at Southern Living magazine, and as founding president of Country Roads Press. He lives in Pebble Beach, California.
