Book Description Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. [New York]: Interface Book [Gordon and Breach], [1974]. Presumed First Edition. Octavo; publisher's cloth in neon orange printed dust jacket; [4],300pp. Jacket rather significantly rubbed at margins and spine folds with a number of tiny chips and closed tears, none approaching text, light dust-soil, corners bumped, else Very Good, internally clean and sound. "The Kairos dimension is nature taking its electronic course through you by providing strategies for amplifying your sensory range" (p. 1). Dorelle Heisel, an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati, appears to have specialized in harnessing one's Kairos dimension through "Biofeedback," a.k.a. "A new way of self-control" in which patients could be hooked up to machinery such as an electromyograph, and alphaphone, or a thermister-idonograph, whose output could theoretically read the person's bodily response and in doing so provide the patient with the tools for greater bodily self-control. A fascinating and now mostly lost sliver of cured meat in the smorgasbord of New Age thought. For more information see the "Cincinnati Magazine," May, 1975 issue. Seller Inventory # 27502
