Synopsis
With its concern for spiritual development, meditation and mandalas, the East has always fascinated people. Jung himself was deeply interested in the East and drew upon its teachings and scholarship for his own writings. John Clarke has brought together a selection of Jung's key writings on the East. In an introduction for the general reader, he outlines the main features of Jung's studies of Eastern texts and ideas and then presents passages from Jung's writings on India, China, synchronicity, yoga, the I ching, the Tibetan Book of the Dead and Buddhism.
