Martin Luther King was an inspiring civil-rights leader in America in the 1950s. Even long after his death, his ideas still change the world.
The La Loupe series will motivate students to read for pleasure, as the National Curriculum requires, with age-appropriate, lively and relevant material. The topics have been cherry-picked to capture the interest of teenagers without patronising them.
The series has three difficulty levels (the levels are clearly colour-coded) in order to be accessible to all Key Stage 3 and 4 learners of French. To be certain that pupils really do take up reading opportunities, Martin Luther King and the full La Loupe series offers pupils the chance to read about topics they find interesting and exciting. The books cover topics that will capture, encourage and motivate both boys and girls.
The three levels give teachers greater flexibility and allow pupils to progress at their own pace. Pupils' confidence will increase as they see themselves progressing from the middle level to this higher-level book.
Accompanied by a Teacher's Book which contains two worksheets per book, aimed at the corresponding difficulty level, teachers can be assured that they will see a tangible learning outcome.
The La Loupe series features books about famous people, groups and teams from the worlds of film, music, sport, politics and history. There are also books about careers and sports. Look out for them!
