Claus, a danish smuggler- george fitzgerald, an american- and richard bowman, a brit- are all trying to protect the whales off the coast of iceland, around the faroes islands. They are up against an excellent and very tough whaler, jakup poulsen, an icelandic man. He is making immense profits out of whaling and cares nothing for the dying species. Our heroes build a submarine called hannah in which they patrol the seas and when finding a school of whales coming too close to jackup poulsen, they emit noises to frighten the whales off.
