First edition hard back binding in publisher's original woven tan and white linen cloth covers, navy lettering to the front cover. Ledger demy 15'' x 20''. Contains 8 page introduction interspersed with monochrome cartoon illustrations and blue tinted photographs, followed by 64 full-page colour plates on good quality coated art paper. Fine condition book in Very Good condition gold foil backed dust wrapper with one small closed tear to the top front cover, and some scratch marks to the rear cover, superb production by George G. Harrap. Obituary by Charles Darwent of The Independent Newspaper, Thursday 14th September 2006, loosely enclosed. Member of the P.B.F.A. ART [Russian].
