Blue coloured faux leather binding with gilt coloured decoration and titles to the front panel and back strip. In these two volumes which take their title from Dorothy MacKellar's poem, the editor has arranged the anthology chronologically but no strict progression is implied. Where the author is known to have a revised work, the text of the latest revision has been used. In the texts from the earlier. Older forms of spelling have been retained where these preserve the flavour of the original. The works have been selected to show how writers and painters have responded to a variety of experiences and how well they express their observations and impressions of a very diverse audience here and abroad. Illustrated with both black-and-white and colour plates reproducing artworks. A rather nice set, which could still be given as a gift for someone who appreciates Australian literature and poetry. Both volume show a little rubbing of the book corners and back strip edges and patchy fading of the back strip.
