JOTIN, Brahmachari. THE WAY OF WISDOM AND SELF-LIBERATION. Washington, DC: Self-Realization Fellowship, [1940]. 16mo., black cloth stamped in gilt, 64 pages. Revised and Enlarged Edition. Jotin (1903-1995), also known as Swami Premananda, was initiated in the practice of Kriya Yoga by Paramahansa Yogananda in India in 1920. In 1928 he came to the United States was was ordained to teach Kriya Yoga in Washington, DC. He was the founder of both the Self-Revelation Church and the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Foundation. He was consecrated as a Swami in 1941, when his name then changed. Signed presentation from Jotin on a front page: "To Mrs. A.N. Pollock, with most sincere affection and prayer to God- Brahmachari Jotin." Copies of his books are uncommon and I have yet to locate any signed copies!! Scarce.
