No publication date given. This novel was first published by Nelson in 1928 so this is perhaps a second edition from around 1930 or slightly later. There is some darkening to the spine with a little rubbing at the top and bottom. Light corner rubbing. The page edges are a little browned with one brown spot on the fore edges and two brown spots on the bottom edges. There is a gift message from the author signed 'MCB' to her mother at the top of the front free endpaper and the endpapers are browned but the pages are otherwise unmarked. Coloured frontispiece and black and white line illustrations by Margaret Forbes. No jacket. Seller Inventory # 017228
