"This 4.5 x 7.375 inch, 172 page hardcover book is in good condition. This is the first printing of the book as indicated by the 1904 on the title page and the notation on the copyright page, "Published November, 1904." This is the original hardcover printing and not paper replica in any way. This copy is in good condition but the covers do show considerable time and shelf wear. The stamped illustration on the front cover panel shows rubbing and the lettering on the spine has all but worn off and is only partially legible. The corners show wear and are just beginning to show through. The interior of the book is in at least good condition. The front hinge between the front pastedown and the ffep shows a one-inch crack but the rest of the hinge appears firm and secure. There are two smudges on the ffep. Beyond that the interior text is in very good condition and might be possibly be better, although pages 45 and 45 show dog-eared folds. The author, Newton Newark has inscribed the book with a lengthy inscription, signed 1911. Certainly one of the books strong points are Newark's illustrations and they are here present and accounted for. (See extra pix concerning all specific details mentioned ) 172 pages.".
