Near Fine 7" x 5 1/2" matte color photo (on 8"x11" bonded paper sheet) of Mt, Everest. SIGNED by Sir Edmund Hillary above summit of mountain. Slight smudge at upper left corner of sheet, not effecting photo. First man to climb Mt. Everest. Diplomat from New Zealand. Also includes laid-in two original unsigned July 1954 National Geograph Magazine articles on conquest of Everest. The first is called "Triumph On Everest: Siege and Assault" by Sir John Hunt, leader of the British Everest Expedition. The second is by Edmund Hillary entitled "The Conquest of the Summit" Note: The signature on photo is NOT a pre-print or reproduction signature. It is authentic autograph.
