Engraving on laid paper. Saint Felicitas and her seven sons. At bottom cartouche with name "S. Felicitas". In lower right corner signed in the plate "J.C. Schwab sc." 13,5 x 9 cm.*The Austrian born engraver Johann Caspar Schwab, worked from 1765 in Paris, where he called himself usually Jean Gaspard Schwab. In Paris he was the pupil of Wille. The rich Roman martyr Saint Felicitas converted to the Christian Faith and was therefore condemned to death together with her seven sons. - With margins, a brown spot in lower blank margin.[(6209)].
