Original rejected album sleeve design. 2 x 216 x 280 mm., float mounted in a 623 x 470 mm., frame, colour digital computer printouts, signed in the stone on the bottom left edge of the lower print. N.p., n.p. [Hubert Kretzschmar], n.d., c. 1982. £1,500.00 Appears fine, unexamined out of the frame. Seems rare if not unique. Kretzschmarr's work for the Stones' cover ?Tattoo You' is in MoMa's collection. He also did the illustrations for ?Some Girls'. Provenance: Julio Mario Santo Domingo was an obsessive Stones collector in the first rank. An apparently rejected design for one of the less liked Stones' albums, but one that generated a good hit in the title track ?Undercover' (a homage of sorts to Bianca Jagger's human rights work in Nicaragua and opposition to Oliver North's covert support for the Contras). This prototype, like the published album cover, flirts with obscenity and nudity and the ?labels ' concept on the woman's body was also retained. 233448 This is a framed and glazed item and may incur extra shipping costs.
