First edition. 4to. 166 pp. illustrated, with portraits, maps, and facsimiles. 92 plates and 8 wood engravings by Hellmuth Weissenborn. Paper covered boards, with title and device on front board. Grey cloth spine. The Mariner's Magazine was a source of information for Patrick O'Brian's "Aubrey Maturin" novels. Inscribed by Kenney as follows: "22nd April, 1959 / 93 Seymore Place, London, W 1 / In memory of a most wonderful evening. Cyril Kenney and Jean." A very fine copy. Seller Inventory # LEH-276
