Uncertain on whether or not this is a First Edition (NAP). Certain that it is signed and inscribed on the first front end paper by the editor William S. Sahakian. Also that, as I list it, there is No other signed copy of this book for sale on the Internet. The inscription reads 'To Mr. E.M. Black, With best wishes from the author, William S. Sahakian'. E.M. Black was Eli M. Black who controlled the United Brands Company. In 1975, the Securities and Exchange Commission uncovered a $2.5 million bribe that Black offered to Honduran president Oswaldo López Arellano in order to obtain a reduction of taxes on banana exports. A few weeks before the scandal broke, on February 3, 1975, Black went to his office on the forty-fourth floor of the Pan Am Building in Manhattan, broke the window with his briefcase, and jumped to his death. On a brighter note, as you can see from the photographs, the covers of the book are in excellent condition, very clean and with very little wear. This description fits the interior of the book, very clean and with very little wear. There is light dust soiling on the top and middle page edges, but this has no bearing on the actual pages themselves. There aren't any markings or attachments in the book. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. I've always had the dust jacket in a fitted protective cover. However prior to my acquisition it did incur a tear on the front that you should be able to see in the first photograph. Also a small loss at the top of the spine (2nd photo). There's clearly some darkening of the jacket, although it is uniform. There are a few light spots of soiling. The jacket's flaps are Not clipped. The first chapter in the book involve Sigmund Freud's ideas, the second Carl Jung, followed by Alfred Adler, Erich Fromm, Karen Horney, Harry Stack Sullivan, and on and on, 20 chapters, 504 pages.
