The Autobiiography of Wilfred Pickles. 4th impression. 223pp. with photographic illustrations. With a TYPED LETTER SIGNED by Mr. Pickles, written to a fan, and a SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH. Wilfred Pickles (1904-1978), a proud Yorkshireman, was a beloved radio and television personality in the 1940's and 1950's He was the first BBC announcer to speak with a regional accent rather than Received Pronunciation. The letter includes one of his famous phrases, "'Ow do, 'ow are yer?" Spine faded and leaning; chip to upper edge of cover. Seller Inventory # 006398
