revised and enlarged edition 1959, originally published by the Author in 1938, Signed by the Author on the half title page, includes a 4" wide x 21/8" tall inventory card from the original bookseller, light toning/soiling to edges of text block - light soiling along bottom edges of boards - light rubbing to bottom edge of spine - 3/16" sag of binding/text block away from top of spine, dj now enclosed in mylar wrap shows toning, edge wear, light soiling and a little scuffing to folds - 3/8" tear to top left edge of front panel - several stains to upper half, 21/2" wide x 11/2" tall stain to lower left and 3/4" closed tear to bottom left edge of rear panel - 1/4" and three 3/8" tears with several small chips to top edge with 13/4" wide x 3/8" deep maximum piece missing and several short tears along bottom edge of spine - small chip with further 7/8" tear to top and small chip with further 1/4" tear to bottom of fold rear panel to flap - two 1/8" tears with associated 31/4" crease between to top edge of rear flap - chips to top/bottom of fold front panel to flap - 1/8" tear top right edge and small stain to bottom left edge of front flap - original price intact, illustrated with drawings and black & white photographs through the text and maps to front/rear end papers, alternate subtitle on full title page "A History of Butch Cassidy and His Wild Bunch".
