Four manuscript pages with hand drawn maps of the layout of property on Webster Avenue and Crescent Avenue, Williamsburgh Road, Long Island City. Signed by O.R. Ackerly with a P.G Van Alst business card attached, and on O'Brien & Whiting real estate brokers letterhead, and the verso of an indenture. "My dear Counselor: Here is the diagram of a L.I. City bargain. It is drawn to a devil of a scale! I am told that it altogether likely, $10,000 will buy. An offer is wanted." "This diagram is made from description in the owner's old deed, evidently made before L.I. City was laid out in blocks. The property is rented to an Irish-man who keeps Jersey cows, for milk, and he pays $300 rent above what the taxes are. The Irishman calls it 32 cop." Jacob Polhemus owned adjoining land. Other names: part of Gardiner Farm, Charles Gardiner, William Steele, Schneider, "Irish man". 4 sheets, 8 1/2 x 11", 7 x 8 1/4", 8 1/4 x 11", 8 1/2 x 7".
