About this Item
Two typewritten page, one-sided, 18 cm, in 10 x 17 cm envelope. Signed by Crawford. The actress, born Lucille LeSueur, was popular on film, TV, and stage. One of Hollywood's most prominent movie stars, Crawford was at one time one of the highest paid women in the United States. In later years she kept up a voluminous correspondence with many people, one of whom was Robert Jean of Wells Beach, Maine. The letter refers to the 1965 film "I Saw What You Did," directed by William Castle. The movie was indeed suspenseful, as Joan states, though it received mixed reviews. Joan is said to have had an affair with co-star John Ireland ten years earlier on the set of Queen Bee (1955). Seller Inventory # 136070
