Store Description
Philips Books sells new titles and selected used books. We ship promptly when we receive your order, usually within two (2) days of receipt of your order (see International Shipping below). Also, we follow ABE Books payment and return policies. At this time, we do not sell in Germany, France or Spain.
International shipping rates are extraordinarily expensive. We try to ship with the most economical carriers and rate classes, usually with the United States Postal Service. Please see Shipping Ter...
Packing: Typically, we wrap your book(s) in clean, blank newsprint before shipping and ship in padded envelopes. Philips Books uses clean, recycled packing materials and shipping containers, if available.
Domestic USA: Our default shipping is United States Postal Service (USPS) Media Mail. Also, we ship UPS Ground and USPS Ground Advantage, which made be a day or so faster but is more expensive if you wish to pay for the upgraded service. Please keep in mind that shipping costs have risen dramatically and shipping costs may be equal to or exceed the price of your purchase. USPS is generally competitive with other carriers.
International: Packages of book(s) weighing no more than 4 pounds or 1.82 kilograms can be shipped by USPS First Class Package International Service. This is one of the lowest international shipping rates. Countries are divided into 20 Price Groups (PGs). Current rates (1/1/24) for a 1 pound or 0.454 kilograms start at about $ 31.00 USD to about $ 62.00 USD
for a 4 pound or a 1.82 kilograms package. Book or books of a total weight of more than four pounds or 1.82 kilograms must be shipped by another postal class. USPS Priority Express International is our preferred choice for cost and speed. Current rates (1/1/24) for a 5 pound or 2.27 kilograms package begin about $ 80.00 USD and end about $ 125.00 USD, depending on the country of destination.
Due to extraordinarily high international shipping rates, it may be necessary to adjust your shipping costs up or down depending on the shipping address of the destination country. We will notify you of changes, if any, before we ship your book(s). While we want you to buy our books, please shop around and carefully consider the purchase price and the shipping costs before ordering. In some cases, you may be liable for the return postage charges if you decide to return the book for certain reasons. Please check the return policies of this web service provider, which we follow, before you buy. Thank you.
