London: Eyre and Spottiswoode, 1962. First edition. Graduated from Rutgers University in 1959. In VG condition with VG protected and unclipped dust jacket. Not ex-library except there are "discarded" stamps on the front and rear endpapers. Fruchter is an Amerian writer, filmmaker and activist. Inscribed warmly in the year of publication to Professor Francis Ferguson, author of "Essays on the Theory and Practice of Literature," who taught at Rutgers when Fruchter was a student.
