Presentation copy. Signed and inscribed by the author on the ffep. Hard cover with dust jacket (DJ). See photos for condition. DJ in a protective mylar sleeve. Mylar has some rips around spine. DJ is heavily toned/darkened - splotchy discoloration. Spine is dampstained. Large rips on top of front of DJ. Rips at spine edges and corners. Smaller rips, chips and creases on edges. 'Presentation copy' note tucked into mylar on front. Back hard cover board has white residue (probably paper) along top in horizontal line. Rip and fraying in fabric on top/bottom of spine. Moderate bumping/dinging on bottom edges. Fabric beginning to fray at corners a bit. Front hinge a tiny bit tender, back hinge a bit more tender, but both feel robust. Endpaper in gutter in back beginning to rip a bit. Half title pages toned. Map in back in good shape. Small crack at top of gutter on map page, with some webbing visible. Page endges toned a bit. Splitting in the gutters on pgs 48-49 - webbing visible but no notable cracking. Elsewhere, binding is good. Otherwise, pages appear clean and clear of highlighting, writing, markings, underlining, or other notable damage or staining. Seller Inventory # ABE-1724793182315
