A collection of woodcock shooting stories by notable authors ie. Forester, Hallock, Rutledge, Grinnell; Phillips; Sheldon; Norris; Holland; Hill; Woolner, Evans; et al. This copy in near fine condition in good slipcase. Inscribed by Evans to former owner along with owner's embossed stamp. Limitation number crossed out in Evans' hand. Slipcase has closed puncture to back side. See photo. Laid in an initialed note on Old Hemlock stationery as well as a copy of a typed letter to Evans from Stephen Osthaus Arnold, nephew of painter Edmund Osthaus regarding an article Evans wrote in a previous issue of Gun Dog magazine.
