FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED "To Stanley Sofield early pedagogue and European traveler, with appreciation - Your friend.1946" AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on front fly, which has pretty bad uneven toning. Sofield was Vidal's 7th grade homeroom teacher at St. Albans Prep in Washington, D.C. Seller Inventory # 99-5846
