Made with a 3 ring binder, about 50 pages, with about 20 photocopied photographs, some in colour, mostly planes Tom flew, & a few Air Force documents. Tom's history from childhood in the Ottawa Valley in the 1920's through his joining & training as an RCAF pilot in Canada & Britain, as well as descriptions of his flying missions over Germany logging 223.40 hours in the Supermarine Spitfire and a total of 886.40 total pilot hours. An incredible achievement W/o being shot down or seriously crashed. An oral history of life in the Ottawa Valley, as well as later years in Crystal Beach & Port Colborne. Signed on the front cover sheet by the 91 year old pilot himself, " Tom Vance, 411 SQD. " - A privately printed RCAF WWII flyer's memoir with interesting & insightful commentary of his life.
