Dear Charles: This was my first book. I worked on researching and writing this book for 17 months, I learned a lot of new Texas history in writing it. You have probably heard who the "Immortal 32" were. Turn to page 145 and read their names. I have a little ranch in King County. It was named for William King, a 16 year old boy who was one of the "32". On page 283 you will see the first page of the list of those who died in the Alamo. Kindest regards, Delbert R. Ward".
