A very good copy of the hard cover edition, signed on the colophon page by Jeremy Ingalls. The colophon page states: "This copy of the First Edition of TAHL is Signed by the Author for Friends of Borzoi Books." Lacking a dust-jacket. Laid in are four items especially distributed to Friends of Borzoi Books: A 6-page brochure regarding the book; a memorandum (unsigned) from Mr. Knopf regarding the book; and a Memo from Knopf regarding a letter (reprinted and included here) from a member of the Friends regarding the book. The text is wholly unmarked, pristine. Moderate wear at the extremities of the boards, with gilt device and lettering of the spine worn away. There is a 5" strip of whitening to the front board. Slight splitting of of the gutter at the colophon pag, revealing the webbing, which remains intact: no wobble to the board. A sharp copy. Seller Inventory # 021413
