A beautiful and scarce, signed first edition of gift-quality for the pin-up connoisseur. Small quarto sized hardback, salmon pink over green cloth, gilt lettering to spine & decoration to front. 140pp, lavishly illustrated in colour & b&w with many vintage pin-up pictures portraying glamour magazine artwork of the early to mid 20th Century. The author/illustrator (alias Francis Wilford-Smith) has signed "Smilby" very boldly to the half-title page. This copy comes with two dustwrappers - the original American green one with the Film Fun cover and the white British one issued by the Newcastle Bookshop in Newcastle on Tyne that portrays a maid in black stockings sliding down the bannisters. Provenance - purchased directly from the author/illustrator many years ago at his house, when he was selling some of his vintage thrillers to me. Seller Inventory # 3078
